Conservation notes:
It should be possible to identify most plants without removing parts. If a plant is locally or generally rare, or the only one found in the vicinity, it is particularly important not to damage it or otherwise affect its viability. Certain species and plants within conservation areas may covered by law from picking or uprooting in the Republic and in Northern Ireland where a wider protectove framework also applies.
