divided leaf
A B C D E F G H I K L M N O P R S T U W Z

A leaf that is divided, with the division to the midrib / rachis (as opposed to a simple leaf, where divisions, if they exist, are not to the midrib). To check whether the lobes are the parts of a compound leaf or are themselves true leaves, look to see if there is a bud in the join of the leaf blade to the rib. If there is no bud, this is a compound leaf; if so, these are several "simple" leaves.

Alternative form for divided leaf : compound.
