Description
Habit: Hairy, sticky annual, to 20 cm high; stickyness due to numerous gland-tipped hairs.
Stems: Erect or semi-erect branched stems.
Leaves: Opposite, stalkless or short-stalked, 8-20 mm long, entire, oblong to oval.
Flowers: White, actinomorphic, in quite open cymes; bracts with wide membranous margins; sepals 5; petals 5, 2/3 as long as sepals, with a short notch; stamens 10; ovary superior.
Fruits: A capsule, drooping first but later erect.
Habitat: Sand-dunes.
