Description
Habit: A deciduous, woody climber, climbing to 20 m.
Stems: Scrambling, woody, clinging by twisted leaf stalks.
Leaves: Opposite, without stipules and with stalk that twines around for support; 1-pinnate with 5 usually leaflets, leaflets oval, pointed at the tip and rounded at the base.
Flowers: Creamy to greenish white, actinomorphic, hermaphrodite, in loose cymes; sepals 4, petal-like, free; petals absent; stamens numerous, indefinite and free; ovary superior.
Fruits: A cluster of achenes; each with a long, feathery style.
Habitat: Hedges, walls, rarely on limestone pavement.Distribution: Occasional.
