Description
Habit: A hairless annual, to 30 cm high.
Stems: Trailing.
Leaves: Leaves alternate, all deeply pinnately and finely lobed into narrow segments.
Flowers: Mauve or white, actinomorphic, 2-3 mm across, in stalkless, axillary clusters, which lengthen into racemes when fruiting; sepals 4, free; petals 4, 1-1.5 mm stamens 6; ovary superior.
Fruits: A silique, 2-3 mm across, rounded or with a pointed top; surface deeply wrinkled.
Habitat: Roadsides, seashores, waste and cultivated ground near the sea.
Distribution: Rare, except occasional in Galway Bay.
