Description
Habit: Perennial, to 1 m high.
Stems: Erect, hairy.
Leaves: Alternate, stalked, with leafy stipules, pinnate with 8-30 pairs of main leaflets, toothed.
Flowers: Creamy white, actinomorphic, hermaphrodite, 5-9 mm across, in terminal panicles; calyx with 5-6 teeth petals 5-6, free; stamens numerous; with hypanthium flat to saucer-shaped.
Fruits: A head of 6-12 achenes, erect, each with 1-2 seeds, hairy.

Habitat: Rocky grassland, limestone pavement.Distribution: Very local.
