Description
Habit: A hairless, small perennial, to 20 cm high.
Stems: Leafy stems semi-erect or trailing, rooting; flowering stems erect.
Leaves: Alternate, 4-12 mm, fleshy, oval, often reddish, not spurred.
Flowers: White, actinomorphic, 15 mm across, in small terminal cymes with several main branches; sepals 5, united at the base; petals 5, free; stamens 10; carpels 5.
Fruits: A collection of small follicles.

Habitat: Walls, roadsides, limestone pavement and sand-dunes.
Distribution: Occasional throughout.
