Description
Habit: A hairless, small perennial, to 30 cm high.
Stems: Leafy stems semi-erect or trailing, rooting; flowering stems erect.
Leaves: Alternate, fleshy, cylindrical, slightly spurred; leaves on the flowering stem erect, leaves on the trailing stems forming a crowded terminal tassel-like cluster and having persistent dead leaves below.
Flowers: Yellow, actinomorphic, 15 mm across, in compact, rounded cymes; sepals 5, united at the base; petals 5, free; stamens 10; carpels 5.
Fruits: A collection of small follicles.

Habitat: Walls and stony places.
Distribution: Very local.
