Flowers: White and yellow; flower-heads solitary, 25mm across; involucral bracts in 2 or 3 rows with pale membranous margin; outer florets ligulate, radiating, white; inner florets tubular, yellow; oblong scales on the receptacle between florets.
Fruits: An achene, pappus absent.
Habitat: Roadsides, pastures, heaths, waste grounds, lake shores.
