Description
Habit: Climbing perennial.
Stems: Long and trailing stems rooting at nodes, with slender stolons; to 60 cm long.
Leaves: Alternate, without stipules, 1.5-3.5 cm wide, kidney-shaped, shallowly and roundly 5-lobed, with palmate main veins.
Flowers: Lilac, zygomorphic, hermaphrodite, 8-10 mm long, solitary in leaf axils on long flower stalks; calyx of 4-5 sepals fused, with 4-5 lobes; corolla of 4-5 petals fused into 2-lips, upper lip with 2 lobes, lower lip with 3 lobes, with a narrowly cylindrical and short spur at the base, mouth completely closed by a ridge on the lower lip; stamens 4, borne on corolla tube; ovary superior, 2-celled, style 1.
Fruits: A capsule, wrinkled.

Habitat: Limestone or mortared walls, limestone pavement, shingle beaches.Distribution: Occasional.
