Habit: Perennial, to 25 cm high.
Stems: Erect, leaf flowering stems, covered in white woolly hairs.
Leaves: Linear-lanceolate, alternate, 3-6 cm long; covered in white woolly hairs.
Flowers: Flower-heads very small, almost stalkless in a leafy, spike-like inflorescence; involucral bracts brownish, blunt; florets small, all tubular, brownish-white or pink, almost concealed by the involucral bracts.
Fruits: An achene, pappus of unbranched hairs.

Habitat: Pastures.
Distribution: Very rare.
