Description
Habit: A hairless perennial, to 1 m high.
Stems: Hollow, brittle, ridged.
Leaves: Large, coarse; basal leaves pinnate, leaflets usually 3-4 pairs, stalked, 2.5-6 cm long with oval, toothed lobes.
Flowers: White or pinkish in terminal umbels; bracts and bracteoles absent; petals 5, free; stamens 5; ovary inferior and 2-celled.
Fruits: A schizocarp, 3-4 mm, ovoid, slightly ridged.

Habitat: Roadsides, wood-margins and rocky pastures.
Distribution: Abundant on limestone, local.
