Description
Habit: A hairless perennial, to 40 cm high.
Stems: Ascending or erect, bronze-coloured.
Leaves: Alternate, pinnately lobed with toothed segments.
Flowers: Yellow, actinomorphic, 3-5 mm across, in racemes; sepals 4, free; petals 4, free; ovary superior.
Fruits: A silique, 5-10 mm, spreading, oblong to ovoid, not more than twice as long as the pedicel.

Habitat: Lakes, ponds, turloughs and other wet places.
Distribution: Frequent on limestone, very rare elsewhere.
