Habit: A spreading annual, to 15 cm high.
Stems: Spreading, diffusely branched, more or less erect.
Leaves: Entire, linear, thick and fleshy, acute but without a point.
Flowers: White, actinomorphic, in cymes; sepals 4; petals 4-5, minute or absent; stamens 4; styles 4, ovary superior.
Fruits: A capsule, 1.6-2.5 mm.
Habitat: Rocks and dry soil by the sea, also on walls.
Distribution: Occasional.
