Description
Habit: A matted perennial, to 10 cm high.
Stems: Trailing, rooting at the nodes, with erect hairless flowering stems.
Leaves: Up to 4-8 mm long, entire, linear, sometimes with a slender point at the tip.
Flowers: White, actinomorphic, solitary, 4-5 mm across; sepals 5; petals 5, about as long as the sepals; stamens 10; styles 5, ovary superior.
Fruits: A capsule, 2.5-3 mm.

Habitat: Rocks, roadsides, damp grassland, streamsides; occasional in other habitats.
Distribution: Abundant.
