Description
Habit: Annual with sparse, stiff hairs, to 70 cm high.
Stems: Erect, one- to many-branched, slightly hispid.
Leaves: Upper leaves stalkless, deeply toothed or pinnately lobed with the terminal lobe mush larger than others.
Flowers: Yellow, 12-18 mm across, actinomorphic, in racemes; sepals 4, free; petals 4, free; ovary superior.
Fruits: A silique, 2.5-5 cm long, spreading, hairless or with stiff hair, downward pointing hairs, with a 0-1-seeded conical beak.

Habitat: Among crops, on roadsides and field-margins.
Distribution: Very frequent on lowland limestone, occasional to rare elsewhere.
