Habit: Perennial, 50-90 cm high.
Stems: Erect.
Leaves: Alternate, hairless or sparsely hairy; pinnate, with jaggedly toothed or pinnatifid, linear-oblong segments; aromatic.
Flowers: Flower-heads numerous, 8-10mm across and in dense corymbs; involucral bracts largely or wholly membranous; florets bright yellow and tubular; the outer ones rarely shortly ligulate and not radiating.
Fruits: An achene, ribbed, pappus represented by a low ring.

Habitat: Roadsides.
Distribution: Rare.
