Description
Habit: Perennial.
Stems: Erect, hollow, hairless.
Leaves: All basal, moderately lobed; leaves with red colouration on leaves, as blotches which sometimes merge together.
Flowers: Yellow, flower-heads solitary on peduncles florets all ligulate; involucre of an inner row of long, equal bracts, and numerous shorter outer ones, without membranous edge, without a small protuberance.
Fruits: An achene, bearing, at the end of a long beak, a white pappus of unbranched hairs.

Habitat: Wet, acid grassland and roadsides.
Distribution: Occasional.
