Description
Habit: Perennial.
Stems: Erect, hollow, hairless.
Leaves: All basal, usually deeply and three-dimensionally lobed; without red colouration.
Flowers: Yellow, flower-heads solitary on peduncles, florets all ligulate; involucre of an inner row of long, equal bracts, and numerous shorter outer ones, the outer ones curved backwards, without membranous edge, without small protuberance.
Fruits: An achene, bearing, at the end of a long beak, a white pappus of unbranched hairs.
Habitat: Waste ground, roadsides, grassland.
