Habit: A hairless perennial, to 1.5 m high.
Stems: Erect, stout, unbranched or scarcely-branched.
Leaves: Spirally arranged, 2-3-pinnate; leaflets shallowly toothed or lobed, terminal leaflet 1.5-3 cm long.
Flowers: Greenish-yellow, actinomorphic, hermaphrodite; inflorescence erect with flowers erect and borne in dense clusters; perianth with 1 whorl of 4 sepals, petal-like and free; petals absent; stamens numerous, indefinite and free, much longer than sepals; ovary superior.
Fruits: A cluster of achenes.

Habitat: Rocky ground near turloughs.Distribution: Rare.
