Description
Habit: A hairy semi-erect annual.
Stems: Trailing to semi-erect, to 30 cm long.
Leaves: Without stipules, undivided, triangular-oval, short-stalked, bluntly toothed; lower leaves opposite and longer than wide, upper ones alternate.
Flowers: Pale blue, sometimes pink or white, nearly actinomorphic, hermaphrodite, 4-7 mm across, solitary in leaf axils of upper leaves; calyx deeply 4-lobed; corolla slightly irregularly 4-lobed, with a very short tube; stamens 2, borne on corolla tube; ovary superior, 2-celled, style 1.
Fruits: A capsule, 2-lobed, with 8-12 seeds, inflated and slightly broader than long, with long glandular hairs.

Habitat: Cultivated or disturbed ground.Distribution: Rather rare.
