Description
Habit: A hairy annual.
Stems: Semi-erect to trailing, to 50 cm long.
Leaves: Opposite or alternate, undivided, without stipules, oval, coarsely toothed.
Flowers: Blue with a white 'eye', nearly actinomorphic, hermaphrodite, 8-12 mm across, solitary in upper leaf axils on slender and long flower stalks; calyx deeply 4-lobed; corolla slightly irregularly 4-lobed, with a very short tube; stamens 2, borne on corolla tube; ovary superior, 2-celled, style 1.
Fruits: A capsule, 2-lobed, flattened, with 8-16 seeds.

Habitat: Cultivated ground and roadsides.Distribution: Frequent to occasional.
