Description
Habit: A hairless or slightly hairy perennial, to 20 cm high.
Stems: Creeping, rooting.
Leaves: Opposite, without stipules, undivided, oval, very short-stalked.
Flowers: Pale blue or white, with darker veins, nearly actinomorphic, hermaphrodite, 5-10 mm across, in terminal racemes; calyx deeply 4-lobed, oblong; corolla slightly irregularly 4-lobed, with a very short tube; stamens 2, borne on corolla tube; ovary superior, 2-celled, style 1.
Fruits: A capsule, 2-lobed, not inflated, wider than long.

Habitat: Grassy roadsides, damp pastures, rocky ground.Distribution: Frequent.
